In this tutorial, I share some information about why we experience inconsistency in our singing tone and vocal (register) breaks and share an imagery that my students and I find helpful in equalizing our tone and scale.

Hello,
when she talks about Vertical equalization what video she is referring to?
does anyone knows?
Thank you!

I asked you this in your Vocal Twang 1.5 video:

I didn't understand the test at the end. On the nasal (2nd ) example, was she nasal when she pinched her nose or before? she didn't hold her nose long enough for me to hear the difference. I can hear the first example where she didnt sound nasal at all , pinch or no pinch, I just couldn't understand the second example. What am I supposed to get from this test? I can't complete my notes without getting this, please and thanks!

Hi Karyn?
This is a great video thank you, love the use of the cup hook to show where to anchor things! Very useful visualisation.
Cheers,
Lin.

I have another question for you. I've read an article saying that the more stretch of the pharynx in the middle register, the more presence and fullness of sound. Could you explain it and the way to achieve it? Many thanks!

So true! The French from France and the French from Quebec pronounce the vowels differently and I was told the French from France have a great advantage in that area. I'm not saying this because I'm actually French from France, of course! The hook imagery is very useful. I've recently been made aware of my tongue retracting back or up on certain vowels and I've been consciously correcting it systematically. It does help a lot.
